Hashtag campaign and contest
Aunt Millie’s has done summer hashtag campaigns and contests in the past, so let's take the best aspects of previous campaigns and kick them up a notch! Aunt Millie's fans/followers will be asked to share a "Slice of summer," and content may be featured on brand landing pages, social media sites, and in other marketing materials.
Aunt Millie's will launch the contest with a "home grown" video of a backyard cookout featuring, friends, fun, and (of course) Aunt Millie's buns. The video would be "selfie style," appearing as if the party-goers are posting images and videos to their social media accounts, and mirroring the type of user content we hope to see fans create and post while using the campaign hashtag #sliceofsummer.
Aunt Millie's could reach out to other brands to co-sponsor the ultimate backyard BBQ or to offer a co-branded prize package. A Weber grill perhaps? Through a co-branded contest Aunt Millie's can offer exciting prizes and increase reach by tapping into another brand's social following.
